Services Offered
Who we are
Masterpiece Models LLC is located in Vancouver,
Washington. Our 4,000-sq. ft. facility is well equipped for building
a wide range of custom models, replicas, exhibits and many other types
of artistic productions. John Geigle, the owner, had a vision to start
a full-resource facility where high-level craftsmanship could bring
three-dimensional reality to anything from a sketch on a napkin to
the most exacting blueprints or schematics. Such a company did not
exist in the Pacific Northwest, and so it was established in 1994
to meet that need, and the images you see on this web site give proof
that Masterpiece Models has responded to
the challenge many times over.
Our staff of craftsmen and artists has expertise
in fabricating a wide range of materials. We also have a network of
nearby subcontractors who can readily assist us, when necessary, in
order to fulfill the most challenging of projects. Because of our
considerable experience in model making, we can also offer consulting
services to assist you in choosing the most effective means of bringing
your project to life. We like to work within a reasonable budget and
can often provide suggestions so that the work can be done even more
economically.
Capabilities
While Masterpiece Models produces models
and kits for the hobbyist and collector, we can also respond to a
wide variety of commercial and promotional needs. We can make prototypes
for inventors and engineers, props for television commercials, the
motion picture industry and photographers, architectural models and
exhibit dioramas, as well as novelty marketing promotions and packaging.
We offer skills in computer graphics, electronic
circuitry, electric motors, lighting, industrial painting and coatings,
and digital design work. This enables us to make complex working,
movable and interactive models and displays, including their control
systems. These additional attributes enable Masterpiece Models to
create that one-of-a-kind project, which will precisely meet your
sales, marketing or educational needs.
Approach
As our name implies, our goal is to create the three-dimensional masterpiece
that works for you. We want to be your complete model, replica, prop,
or exhibit source from start to finish, rather than send you elsewhere
for any part of the project. We stand behind our work, in accordance
with the contract agreed upon. Our desire is to establish an ongoing
relationship of trust so that you will feel free to call us at anytime
regarding the work in progress or in maintaining the completed work.
We also welcome
Plastic fabrication work: We can create any type of model,
prototype, part or package. We can do heat bending, drape forming,
laser cutting and vacuforming, in a wide range of plastic materials.
And we can hand-fabricate styrene, acrylic and ABS plastic as well.
Casting work:
We can produce accurate single-cast parts and large, limited production
casting runs using durable resin. We can rotationally mold parts weighing
up to 100 lbs. (mold and material) and are able to both pressure-
and vacuum-cast parts with chamber size dimensions up to 2 feet by
4 feet. We also produce the molds.
Custom-built display work: We can make cases, cabinets, pedestals and bases to meet
any exhibit or presentation need.
Metal fabrication work: We can create metal projects on any scale, using skills
that include machining, welding, cutting, bending and coating.
